Oppenheim Law, a husband and wife boutique law firm serving South Florida for twenty-five years, announced today that long term associate attorney Geoffrey Sherman has been named its newest partner effective August 6, 2015.
Geoffrey Sherman began working at Oppenheim Law as a law clerk looking to gain legal experience during his final year of law school at Nova Southeastern University. Sherman quickly became a valued employee of Oppenheim Law while assisting in discovery research for a multi-district national class action lawsuit against DuPont.
Sherman became an associate attorney in 2008 and was sworn in as a member of the Florida Bar by Roy Oppenheim, a Senior Partner at the firm.
Sherman primarily focuses on defending residential foreclosures; he has greatly contributed to the firm by successfully defending homeowners at trial. He also assists homeowners with alternatives to foreclosures, such as loan modifications and short sales.
Sherman additionally practices in the areas of Residential and Commercial Real Estate Transactions and Litigation; Commercial Transactions and Litigation; and Consumer Class Actions.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Cum Laude, from the University of Florida, where he held leadership positions in Accent Speaker’s Bureau, Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity and was also a member of Florida Blue Key, Florida’s most prestigious leadership honorary society.
“Geoff is a perfect addition to the leadership of the firm as we begin to embark on our second twenty-five years of service to South Florida” says Senior Partner, Roy Oppenheim.
