Oppenheim Law Sends Thoughts & Prayers to Parkland Victims’ Families

Fri Feb 16, 2018 by on News

thoughts and prayers candleThe tragic shooting in Parkland this week has left us all baffled, upset, and speechless.  We all share in the deep sadness and utter emptiness in the aftermath of this horrific event.

Why did this happen?  Why have there been recurrent school shootings – 18 already this year?  And, how can we prevent them?

Regardless of political stance, we all agree that something needs to be done.  Whether this was a gun, mental health, school security issue, or all of the aforementioned combined, we need to be able to recognize, act, and prevent this senseless loss of life.

Some may question the role of social media. Perhaps, in a world that is so connected through cell phones and portable electronic devices, we have actually become disconnected. Maybe we need to reflect as to whether merely “speaking” to others by texting and emojis provides us with enough personal interaction.

For all of us at our firm, this horrendous event is a constant reminder as to how fragile life truly is.

Our team at Oppenheim Law and Weston Title pray for all who lost their lives and their healing families, and hope that we, as a nation and as a society, will somehow be able to change our interactions with each other so that such tragedies do not happen again.

Sincere Regards,

Roy Oppenheim
